The story about the workers from village Dedia

Yes, I was going to work, too. I was not alone, because at that time, we were lot from the village Dedia, walking from Dedia to Stari Trg… what was pretty time consuming. Yes, we were walking together… from Dedia to Stari Trg. Sometimes we had to walk normally, sometimes in haste, because it’s approximately two and a half hours walk. Anyway, we had to walk three hours, because we used to meet at assembly point, waiting for all to meet, adding two resting breaks on the way. Later, in Stari Trg were opened so called “bankauza” or a type of housing, where we stayed overnight. At that time, when our shift ended, we as a collective, stayed there, chatting while drinking tea. Beside workers from Dedia, there were workers from other villages as from Kovaqica, Kaqandoll, Selac and most of them were from Podujeva. We stayed together in “bankauza”, drinking tea, coffee, chatting and thus, knowing each other very well, in terms of the workplace, salary and other things as well.
